Policemen for the Globeville precinct report the auto theft problem is very bad in the area, not because of the origin of the theft but rather the destination of autos stolen. Teenagers are downtown and have no way to get home; they steal a car, joy ride, and drive to Stapleton ( part of Globeville ) and just leave it. A good many autos have been traced to Stapleton.The teenagers don't want the car, they just want the transportation.(NIP) |
